We remove first and review afterwards where consent is in question. You do not need a lawyer to get an image of you taken down.
If a photo of you was uploaded without consent
This is the priority route and it is deliberately simple. Email legal@ratemyfeetai.com with the page the photo appears on and enough description to identify it. Write "NON-CONSENSUAL IMAGE" in the subject line.
You do not need to prove ownership, provide identification, submit a formal legal notice, or explain yourself before we act. We remove the image first and review afterwards. We aim to do this within 24 hours of receiving the request.
Copyright takedown (DMCA) notices
For copyright infringement, send a written notice to legal@ratemyfeetai.com. To be effective under the DMCA your notice should include the following.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL or enough detail to locate the specific material on our site
- Your contact details, including an email address
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that under penalty of perjury you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
What happens next
We review valid notices and remove or disable access to the material, generally within 72 hours for copyright matters and within 24 hours for anything involving consent or a possible minor. We keep a record of notices received and actions taken.
Because uploads on this site are anonymous by design, we are frequently unable to notify the uploader or to identify them. We will not fabricate a contact route where none exists.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address including identification of the removed material, its previous location, your contact details, your signature, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Note that we will not restore any material on the basis of a counter-notice where the original complaint concerned a possible minor or a possible non-consensual image. In those categories removal is permanent.
Misuse of this process
Knowingly submitting a false takedown notice or a false counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages and legal costs. If you are unsure whether you hold the relevant rights, take advice before filing.
