Feet age visibly, and in a fairly predictable order. Skin thins and loses elasticity, heel calluses build up, nails thicken and yellow slightly, tendons and veins become more defined on the top of the foot, and joints look more pronounced. The AI reads those cues and returns a range rather than a single number, because a range is the only honest output.
Sun exposure, years in unsupportive shoes and simple dryness accelerate the visible part of this far more than actual age does.
Nearly all of the apparent age you can control sits in skin and nails. Regular exfoliation of heels, a urea-based cream for thickened skin, keeping nails trimmed straight and lightly buffed, and sunscreen on the tops of your feet in summer. Most people who re-test after a fortnight of that see the estimated range drop.
It estimates a range from visible skin, nail and joint cues. It is entertainment, and it is often wrong by a decade in either direction.
Usually dry heels, calluses or thickened nails — plus harsh lighting, which exaggerates texture dramatically.
No. You never enter your age; the model estimates it from the photo alone.
Not at all. If you have thickened, discoloured or painful nails or skin, see a podiatrist.
